The Jews are NOT God's chosen people in Christianity. The Israelites WERE God's chosen people, but by rejecting Jesus Christ, they lost their position. Since Good Friday, the Year One, Christians have been God's chosen people. That is real Christianity. Accept no substitute!
"The Jews" do not believe that Jesus was God. "The Jews" persecuted the Christians for 400 years. Everyone should know this. "Protecting the Jews" has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ or with Christianity. Christians don't need to "protect Jews" any more or any less than they need to protect the Chinese.
